company
Minelli SpA has been working for over 70 years in the wood industry, manufacturing solid wood parts, sports / leisure items and accessories for the furniture industry.
With approximately 150 employees in their two production units in the Brembana Valley, a few kilometres from Bergamo, Minelli are proud of their double identity: they are world leaders in the production of gunstocks and handles (for paintbrushes, brushes, knives) thanks to their efficiently industrialised factories, while, at the same time, they can still manufacture any object in solid wood.
This can be done through their profound expertise and long-lasting experience gained during the many decades of activity, reflected in the excellent quality which is a common feature of all Minelli’s products, whether large-batch or bespoke.
But
the actual source of the energy fuelling the company’s activity is a true love
for wood, treated by Minelli as a living matter, with its grains, its warm look
and touch which brings the product to life. This attitude is also proven by the
exclusive use of woods from woodlands subject to reforestation and by the FSC
certification, achieved
in 2000.
Why CMS
In order to achieve the leading edge of quality as well as high volume levels it is essential to utilise the most modern technology. Since the early 70s Minelli and CMS have been pioneering this sector when the first CMS machine started its production in Minelli’s factory, where it is still working perfectly.
Since then they have travelled a long way together, with a total of 10 CMS machines installed at Minelli’s premises, each boasting a special technical solution, enabling the manufacture of high quality parts at competitive prices.
Besides the undisputed quality, accuracy and durability of these machines, the key factor cementing this long-lasting partnership is the capacity of CMS to study and provide tailor made solutions to Minelli’s requirements, with the closest collaboration, sharing their goals.
The most persuasive example comes from the actual technological revolution in gunstocks manufacture promoted by Minelli in recent years. Nowadays the production of pieces ready to be polished and painted is achieved by only two CMS machines, a PF2000 and a ROUTER MULTILATHE, whereas, not so long ago it was necessary to use 10-12 machines to produce the same number of products to a slightly lower quality standard.
