Adria - travel trailer a home on a holiday
A caravan is a house going on holiday. It’s the liberty of reaching charming places without giving up the privacy and comfort of one’s home, enjoying the company of your dearest ones.
The company
ADRIA MOBIL, d.o.o. is a caravan and motorhome manufacturer based in Novo Mesto, Slovenia: it employs over 750 people and it is the mother company of a group counting over 1400 employees.
ADRIA’s history dates back to 1965, when the first caravan model, ADRIA 375, was exhibited more than 40 years ago at the Stockholm show.
After an alternation of positive and critical moments, starting from the end of the 90s the company has been experiencing a major uptrend, also proven by official awards, which makes them today the 6th European manufacturer, present in 29 countries (including Japan), with a 6.5% market share in Europe.
The company’s mission of becoming the leisure time partner is being pursued through customers’ satisfaction strategies, manpower motivation, team-work orientation and ongoing technical innovation. ADRIA’s success is soundly based on the total quality philosophy, certified ISO 9001:2000, integrated in each and every aspect of their business, from the relations with customers and suppliers, through all designing and production phases. The ensuing quality positively affects the products, thus generating mutual satisfaction in customers and workers.
The
last but not least distinctive feature of Adria’s is the care for the environment
protection, as per ISO 14001:2005 certification. ADRIA’s caravans and
motorhomes, born to fully appreciate the best that nature and earth can offer,
are designed and built with the care of those who want to preserve these
treasures for future generations.
Why CMS
ADRIA entered into relation with CMS in 1984, when they realised that, in order to overcome a critical situation, an increase of approximately 120% in the production capacity was required. The optimal solution was established with the collaboration of the CMS representatives for former Yugoslavia: two mobile-bridge machining centres with loading systems consisting of rollers groups and customised equipment for piece centering and clamping. One year later these machines went into production at full capacity, providing a major contribution to achieving Adria’s production target. After being completely upgraded one of the two is still working on two shifts, while the parts of the second, completely disassembled, are being used as spares. Over this time another 3 CMS machines have been installed, working on 2 or 3 shifts depending on the production volume required.
ADRIA highly appreciates the CMS sturdy and accurate mechanics, their automated systems and user-friendly software, the overall reliability which minimises machine down times, as well as the technical and sales support, going well beyond the norm, also thanks to the important contribution made by TEC.MA, CMS representative for the territory.
